Old Doha Port Redevelopment project in Qatar has been granted to Jan de Nul and a subsidiary of DEME, Middle East Dredging Company (MEDCO). Those two companies will work together to complete this port redevelopment.

As for MEDCO, they are in charge of the dredging work for the access channel. To develop a new mooring dolphin is also required in this port redevelopment contract.

Thanks for the completion of the New Port Project in Qatar, MEDCO has successfully carried out the dredging works of the access channel. The New Port is now fully operational and all commercial shipping traffic has been moved from the Old Port in Doha City to the New Port. After the redevelopment of the old Doha port, it will serve as a cruise terminal in the future.
