The Zallaq Harbour Project value BD1.39 million ($3.68 million) is going well in Bahrain. The project was awarded to Down Town, will cover block 733 in Nasfa and part of Block 743 in Sanad.

The scope of work includes extending 6.1km of main connections and 2.9km sub-connections, constructing 622 lifting stations and connecting 364 houses in Block 733 in Nasfa and houses in Block 743 in Sanad to the network.

The harbour has the capacity to accommodate 112 boats with 10m long. There are 56 stores for saling sailing equipment, a shaded yard to fix and maintain boats tools and a parking lot near the harbour.

The project has an important significance. The construction of a road can serve the harbour. The construction of a garden within the boundaries of the harbour can serve residents of the area. Besides, this work can improve sanitary services in the Capital Governorate, stated Asma Murad.
