What is cone fender system included?
Cone fender system is the whole set of the fender including the buffer, front panel, face panel and accessories.
Description of the cone fender system:
- U ring: The U ring is called U anchor too. U ring is pre-built into the concrete and it is applied to holding chains.
- Washer, Bolt & Nut: The cone fender body is fasten onto the concrete wall(dock) through the washer, bolt and nut.
- Chains(Including tensile chain, weight chain & shear chain)
The application of the chains:
1>Tension chain-Limit fender deflection while fender local part under strain.
2>Weight chain-Support the front panel in avoid of sagging.
3>Shear chain-Prevent fender system from shear deflection.
- Front Panel: High pressure will produced when the vessels is approaching to the dock. So that the front panel is to reduce surface pressure in avoid of damage of the fender and vessels.
- Face pad: To reduce friction coefficient and protect hull.
- Steel Mount: The steel is welded into the buffer to increase fender performance.
- Connect the fender & Front panel.
- Absorb ship berthing energy to protect dock and vessels.
NOTES: The material of the steel accessories(including U ring, washer, bolt, nut, chains, front panel, steel mount and connector) is A36 and hot galvanized. The material of the face pad is UHMW-PE.
