what is foam fender？

Foam fenders are used to protect ship to ship and ship to dock and providing superior abrasion resistance under the harshest conditions. Compared with the same sized pneumatic fenders,   the foam fender absorbs up to 40% more energy.

Our foam fender is based on an internal through the pipe. Winding the closed-cell polyethylene foam to the pipe layer by layer. Nylon filament reinforcement is made to protect the inner structure. Finally, the outer layer is polyurethane elastomer which can be resistant to water environmental hazards, such as extreme temperatures, hydrocarbons, fresh and saltwater, ozone and ultraviolet radiation. The foam fender’s elastomer skin is even resistant to chemicals such as diesel fuels.

The closed cell polyethylene foam prevents the water to migrate into the fender body. In addition, as for the special material, the foam fender will be performance well even if the elastomer skin has been accidentally punctured.
