Keppel Offshore & Marine wins four new contracts value $89 million

Keppel Shipyard in Singapore, a subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine, has awarded four new contracts worth about S$120 million ($89 million).

The first contract is from BW Catcher Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of BW Offshore. The main work of this contract is to install and integrate topside modules for a newbuild FPSO vessel.

The second contract is from SOFEC. The main work is to fabricate an internal turret mooring system for a floating storage and offloading vessel at Maersk Oil’s Culzean field in the North Sea. This work is expected to be completed in the fall of 2017.

The third contract is to carry out upgrading work to the pipelay vessel, Castorone. This upgrading work includes the improvement of the vessel’s power distribution systems, the renewal of electrical cables, various pipelay system, and the construction of new water ballast tanks. This work will be completed in the fall of 2016.

The fourth contract is from Woodside Energy and is to modify and upgrade the FPSO vessel NgujimaYin. This work includes marine and hull life extension and refurbishment; installation of new customized water flood module, turret risers and power and control module; as well as modification of swivel system, marine and topside related piping. The detailed engineering phase is expected to start in July 2016, while the shipyard construction work is excepted to start in the summer of 2018.
