Norway Tender – dredging at the Mål ferry berth
Date:2025-06-05
The tender is invited for dredging at the Mål ferry berth. The purpose of the dredging is to ensure that the ferry Ammonia has sufficient water under the keel when Lake Tinnsjøen is at the lowest regulation level (elevation +187.62). When Lake Tinnsjøen is at the lowest regulation level, there is a risk that ammonia will remain aground, and could be damaged to the boiler and hull, as the sediment situation at the storage site is today.
There is therefore a need to carry out a dredging job to ensure that Ammonia has at least 0.8 m of water under the boiler at all times. In other words, the bottom of Tinnsjø must be at a maximum of +185.62 in the area where Ammonia is laid up. This means that an average of approx. 0.5 metres (from O to approx. 1 to 1.5 m) of sediment must be dredged in an area of approx. 180 m2. Conditions given by public authorities must be followed.
