Arch Fender and Mooring Bollard Systems well installed on the Terminal, Nantong
Date:2026-01-07
Nanjing Deers has successfully delivered a comprehensive arch fender and mooring bollard solution for the terminal project in Qidong, Nantong, supporting a critical upgrade to the terminal’s upstream berthing infrastructure.
The project scope includes the construction of two independent mooring dolphins, each with a plan dimension of 23 m × 14 m. Every mooring dolphin is equipped with six 2,000 kN double-bit mooring bollards, providing high-capacity mooring strength for vessels operating along the upstream section of the terminal. In addition, twelve arch fenders have been supplied and installed to enhance berthing energy absorption and structural protection.
Designed to meet the demanding operational conditions of the terminal, the arch fenders offer stable reaction forces and reliable energy dissipation during vessel berthing. Combined with the high-load mooring bollards, the system forms a robust berthing and mooring solution tailored to the terminal’s specific layout and environmental requirements.
Once the project is fully commissioned, the new mooring dolphins will significantly enhance the wind and typhoon resistance of the upstream terminal area, providing stronger protection against adverse weather conditions. More importantly, the upgraded infrastructure will greatly improve vessel berthing safety, ensuring secure and efficient operations for ships calling at the terminal.
Nanjing Deers is proud to contribute to this important port infrastructure project by delivering engineered marine equipment solutions that combine performance, reliability, and long-term operational value. This project further demonstrates our capability to support complex terminal developments with customized fender and mooring systems that meet both technical and operational demands.
