Supply Cell and Arch Fender Systems for Nantong Port’s 100,000 DWT Grain & Oil Berth Project
The Henggangsha Operation Area of Tianshenggang Port Area at Nantong Port represents a major milestone in the development of bulk grain logistics along the Yangtze River. As a key construction project for what will become the largest dedicated grain and oil terminal along the Yangtze River, the new 100,000 DWT berth integrates grain and oil transshipment, storage, and handling facilities.
The overall development includes three main sections: hydraulic and landside engineering works, silo construction, and process equipment installation. Once fully operational, the project will significantly enhance the grain logistics corridor of the Yangtze River Basin and strengthen the hub function and service capacity of the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta port cluster in bulk grain and oil circulation.
To support this flagship project, Nanjing Deers was entrusted with the design and supply of Cell Fender Systems and Arch Fender Systems for the new berth infrastructure.
Engineered Protection for Large-Scale Bulk Operations
Given the operational demands of a 100,000 DWT grain and oil berth, the fender systems were designed to provide reliable energy absorption and structural protection under high berthing loads.
The supplied Cell Fenders ensure high energy absorption with controlled reaction force, suitable for accommodating large bulk carriers. Complementing them, the Arch Fenders offer durable and cost-effective protection for auxiliary berthing areas and service operations.
Throughout production, strict quality control measures were implemented to ensure dimensional accuracy, rubber performance consistency, and structural reliability. Each unit was carefully inspected prior to delivery to meet the technical requirements of the project.
