2.5×4m pneumatic fenders have been successfully installed at the berth
Date:2026-09-17
Six 2.5×4m pneumatic fenders supplied by Nanjing Deers have recently been successfully installed at the client’s berth and are now ready to support daily vessel berthing operations.
The fenders are installed along the berth face to provide a protective buffer between the vessel and the quay structure during berthing. By absorbing berthing energy and reducing direct impact, pneumatic fenders help protect both the vessel hull and the berth from potential damage.
For this project, the client selected pneumatic fenders with dimensions of 2.5 m in diameter and 4 m in length. Their large contact area and flexible structure make them well suited for berth applications where vessels require reliable cushioning during approach and contact.
After delivery, the client completed the installation of all six units at the designated positions along the berth. The fenders have now been put in place successfully and will be used for subsequent vessel berthing operations.
Pneumatic fenders are widely used for ship-to-berth and ship-to-ship applications because of their high energy absorption, relatively low reaction force, and adaptability to different vessel sizes and operating conditions.
Nanjing Deers supplies pneumatic fenders in a wide range of sizes and initial pressure classes for ports, terminals, offshore operations, and STS applications. Customized fender arrangements can also be provided according to vessel information, berth conditions, and project requirements.
