Lock and Dam 7 Sheet Pile Installation Project

Work Description:
Lock and Dam 7 is located on the main stem of the Mississippi River at river mile 702.5, above the mouth of the Ohio. The project includes driving two parallel rows of sheet pile upstream of the auxiliary miter gates and filling in this area with material. This work is being done in order to form a damming surface upstream of the existing auxiliary miter gates. This project will also include the installation of timber fenders on the upstream side of the sheet pile cell. Hand railing will be installed on both the upstream and downstream sides of the sheet pile cell. A seepage cutoff will be formed by injecting grout into the foundation soils adjacent to the river wall and intermediate wall sheet pile tie in. The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, and material to complete the contract requirements.
